To sync a remote with the Vital Panel
Vital Series 1000 and above panels come with remotes (you can tell if you have a Vital Panel as it will not come with PULSE or BRIGHTNESS modes that come on our Elite Panel. If your remote is not sync'd with your Vital panel, or doesn't control it, please make sure pressing a button lights a small LED on the front of the remote. If there is no light, please install or replace the 23A 12v battery.
To synchronize your remote with your Vital Panel:
- Switch off the panel using the switch on the rear of the unit so the panel is powered off completely.
- Insert the 23A 12v battery into the remote control
- Press any button to make sure the little red LED on the front of the remote lights up showing it is working
- Switch on your Vital Panel
- Place the remote near to the control panel on the Vital panel and press the top button on the remote (RED button)
- Keeping that button pressed, press the TIME+ button on the panel and keep it pressed.
- The panel should beep to confirm the sync of the remote
- You can now operate the panel using the remote control with the R/NIR (Red / Near-Infrared), Timer modes.
If the Red LED does not work on the front of the remote it is possible the battery isn't working, obtain a different battery, and try again.
